Danielle + Dillon Wedding, Cardiff-BY-THE-SEA, CA
What a beautiful and intimate celebration for D + D at the newly renovated Cardiff by the Sea Lodge in North County, California. With a rooftop facing the ocean, the space is just the perfect choice for a small to medium gathering (they had about 35 guests).
The Perfect Pair Weddings and her team did an amazing job creating a beautiful and elegant coastal style ambiance and making sure the flow of the day was just as smooth as the ocean breeze nearby.
The couple flew from New York to get married in San Diego and be close to her family for healthy reasons, so their priority was to host an intimate celebration with only close friends and family. They got the entire hotel for themselves for the weekend, so they could make the best of the time they had together here in town. The lodge has such a fun structure, with cool corners and staircases and lots of washed out walls and yummy textures (my favorite for photos).
COASTAL + ELEGANT CALIFORNIA WEDDING
The rooftop facing the ocean was the space used for the ceremony and then flipped into a long family style dinner table, where the group gathered for most of the afternoon sharing fun stories and emotional speeches.
The food also was served family style by one of the best catering companies in San Diego, Toast Catering incorporated the famous and local Cardiff crack steak in the menu, even for the vendors meal (oh yes, so delicious).
Capturing the energy of the people and combining it with all the effort putting into the details is my favorite way to register your special day, and this group has definitely done all the above perfectly. It’s huge to finally see your vision coming to life on your wedding day, and just enjoying it with your guests. I always encourage my couples to trust their vendors and relax and enjoy the ride!
D + D, you’re just such a joyful couple to work with, I am grateful you have chosen me here in San Diego to be your wedding photographer.
Cheers to a lifetime of adventures and making fun memories together.
